Description

24 evaluation trenches were dug in the area of Job's Lane. Trenches E and I contained archaeological remains. Faint cropmarks which resembled barrows had been noted on aerial photographs, and some of the trenches were positioned to investigate these. The trenches did not identify any features which could be interpreted as barrows. {1}{2}
