Description

Trial trenching was carried out in the area of soilmarks and artefact scatters. Two trenches were dug: the first was located on a soilmark with particularly abundant pottery. The second was dug closer to the South Forty Foot Drain because it was believed that this area would be less plough damaged. {1}
