Description

Fieldwalking was carried out along the proposed route of a new water pipeline. Small concentrations of Roman tile, one also with metal smelting slag, were recorded near the western end of the route. A low level of medieval and post medieval material was also recovered and this probably represents manuring scatters. A single flint was also found. Not all fields along the route were suitable for fieldwalking, and Fields B and C are out of the region. {1}{2}
