Description

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on land at Lincoln Road, Holdingham, Sleaford. The evaluation was undertaken to assess the archaeological potential of the site in advance of proposed development. A total of 19 trenches were opened, positioned to intercept various anomalies identified during a prior geophysical survey and to give suitable coverage (c.5%) of the proposed development area. Saxon and medieval features were observed, and finds include prehistoric and Roman material. {1}{2}
