Description
A watching brief was undertaken during ground investigations outside Lincoln Castle's West Gate, conducted to inform the proposed construction of a bridge between Lincoln Castle and The Lawn. Two trial pits and a borehole were excavated, but no dateable material was identified and the results were inconclusive. {1}{2}
