Description
A single trial trench was excavated in advance of development to the rear of 49-51 High Street. A channel or ditch containing 12th-13th century pottery was encountered. No remains dating to the period between the 13th and 19th centuries were recovered, suggesting the ground has been levelled or cleared in the past. No earlier remains were encountered. {1}{2}
