Description

Palaeoenvironmental samples were taken from a number of boreholes made as part of the geotechnical investigations along part of the route of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass, across the Witham valley. Post-glacial sediments containing various well preserved organic remains (including shells, beetles, wood, ostracods, plant seeds and pollen) were recovered. {1}{2}
