Description

Archaeological excavation was carried out in advance of the installation of a gas pipeline. Extensive evidence for Romano-British activity was uncovered including settlement remains, a cemetery and part of the King Street road. Evidence for an earlier Iron Age settlement was also uncovered. {1}{2}
