Description

Fieldwalking was carried out in two fields along the route of the Sleaford western by-pass. Quantities of Roman, medieval and post medieval material were recovered from Field 1 (near silk Willoughby) whereas only a sparse scatter of post medieval and later material was recovered from Field 2 (near Holdingham), suggesting a lack of human activity in this area. {1}
