Description
An archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) was undertaken on the site of the Old Bakery, Ayscough Avenue, Spalding ahead of redevelopment. Eleven trenches were excavated to assess the potential for any archaeological evidence. The trenches revealed traces of recent industrial activity along with evidence that the environs would have been wet and un-inhabitable until recent times. No archaeoogical features or finds {1} {2}
