Description

Systematic field walking undertaken by volunteers on a possible Roman villa site at Sudbrooke. Approximately 1.53ha of land was walked using the same grid as set out for a subsequent magnetometry survey (see ELI425). The field walking recovered numerous Romano-British artefacts, including tesserae, oyster shell and pottery. {1}
