Description

A fieldwalking survey was undertaken on circa 8ha of land prior to proposed residential development, in order to assess the presence/absence of archaeological remains. The site was walked in 20m grids. Circa 50% of the soil surface was obscured by vegetation, providing a biased sample which nevertheless gave a workable overview of artefact distribution.{1}
