Description

A programme of trial excavation (evaluation) was undertaken to determine the archaeological potential of a proposed residential development situated in the angle of the A16 and King Street in Kirton, Boston. The information gathered during the evaluation was used to inform the planning process and was undertaken due to the high potential for archaeological remains to exist in this area of Kirton. Trench locations were located on the basis of a previous geophysical survey of the proposed development site. Four trial trenches were excavated. {1} {2}
