Archaeological watching brief of trenching for a replacement watermain at three locations in the parish of Burton Coggles; two trenches on Church Lane (alongside St. Thomas a Becket's Church), and a single trench on Corby Road. Monitoring had been requested in case the works disturbed archaeological remains associated with either the church and churchyard, or the nearby earthwork of a moated homestead or refuge (PRN 33875). No significant archaeological remains were observed in the trench south and west of the church. An undateable feature, thought to be a watercourse, was revealed northeast of the church. {1} {2} (NB.
