Description

A central transect was cut during archaeological investigations in 1941. {1} Excavations were carried out by Mrs A. Grimes on two barrows prior to the construction of Ludford Magna RAF airfield in 1942. The sites have not been published but there is a small amount of information in the HER Ludford Parish file. This is one of those excavations (see also ELI30). {2}{3}{4}
