Description

Trial trenching was carried out on circa 1.2ha of land prior to proposed residential development. Eleven trenches were placed to investigate areas of archaeological potential, known geophysical anomalies or features, and other areas of the site. Trench dimensions were as follows: - Trenches 2, 3, 4 and 10 measured 10m by 1.6m, Trenches 1, 7, 9 and 11 measured 15m by 1.6m, Trench 5 measured 15.5m by 1.6m, Trench 6 measured 16m by 1.6m, and Trench 8 measured 17m by 1.6m.{1}
