Description

Trial trenching was carried out in order to determine the archaeological implications of proposed reservoir construction. Trenches 1, 2 and 3 measured circa 1.5m by 10m and were positioned to gain as wide a sample as possible across the investigation area. Trench 4 was located to further investigate deposits revealed in Trench 2 and measured circa 5m in length. No archaeological finds or features were recorded in Trenches 3 and 4.{1}
