Description

Trial trenching was carried out on circa 0.31ha of land prior to demolition work and construction of six dwellings and associated access. Four main trenches and two exploratory slots at the south-west and south-east extremities of the site were excavated, placed to investigate areas of archaeological potential. Trench 1 measured 6m by 1m, Trenches 2 and 6 measured 16m and 1.4m, Trench 3 measured 13.5m by 1.4m, Trench 4 measured 5.5m by 1m, and Trench 5 measured 13m by 1.4m. No archaeological finds or features were revealed in Trench 4.{1}
