Description
An area of1ha, broken down into Areas A to D, was subject to detailed gradiometer survey, as part of a programme of evaluation prior to proposed building works. Ground conditions for survey were generally good; the field had been ploughed and roughly harrowed and the qauntity of surface weathered bedrock stone made walking relatively easy. Closer to the stream, however, the ground was more boggy. The western extremity of the site could not be investigated due to dumped material and overgrown vegetation.{1}{2}
