Description

A detailed magnetometry survey was carried out on circa 8.2ha of land prior to proposed extension of the neighbouring limestone quarry. Survey objectives were to determine the geometry and extent of subsurface features within areas of contrasting topsoil magnetic susceptibility enhancement detected by prior survey (1993). The survey comprised detailed gridded magnetometry over the core of the application area and in areas of contrasting topsoil magnetic susceptibility not covered by the 1993 survey.{1}
