A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for a new pipeline. Initially, two areas were to be monitored, Areas A and B, but due to the discovery of a wall in an unmonitored section of the route, the watching brief was extended to cover this area (Area C). Due to a breakdown in communication, the area to the east of Blankney (Area A) was not monitored.{1}
