An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken prior to residential development. Three trenches, each measuring 12m by 1.8m, were placed to establish the presence/absence of archaeological remains and to inform further planning decisions. A proposed fourth trench was not opened due to the lack of archaeological features in the first three trenches. No archaeological features or finds were recorded.{1}
