Description

At Hoe Hill long barrow a trench 8.5m long and 2.5m wide was excavated at right angles to the north edge of the mound. Two parallel ditches were detected, a narrow one 1m deep from c.1.3 to 2.9m from the mound edge, and a broader one 2m deep from c.4 to 8m from the mound edge. {1}{2}
