Description

An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken prior to extending the quarry. Seven trenches were excavated, placed to investigate blank areas and anomalies identified by a previous geophysical survey. Trenches 1 and 4 measured 14m by 2.5m; Trenches 2 and 3 measured 10m by 2.5m: Trenches 5 and 7 measured 15m by 2.5m; and Trench 6 measured 9.6m by 2.5m.{1}
