Description

An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken on circa 4ha of land prior to possible access construction linking a residential development with Ermine Street. Ten trenches were excavated. Trench 1 was extended by 10m to assess the possibility of constructing a new link road from a residential development to Ermine Street. Trenches were placed to investigate anomalies previously identified by geophysical survey, with Trenches 8 and 9 being randomly positioned.{1}
