An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was carried out on circa 2.6ha of land prior to aggregate extraction. Thirteen trenches were excavated, placed to investigate geophysical anomalies and other areas. Trenches 1-11 measured 30m by 2m; Trench 12 = 8m by 8m; and Trench 13 = 25m by 2m. The location of Trench 13 was amended to avoid the existing access.{1}
