Description

A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during the groundworks for the construction of a replacement churchyard retaining wall at All Saints Church, Tealby. The groundworks exposed a linear ditch, from which fragments of human bone were identified. Although no conclusive date could be ascribed, the feature was thought to represent an old boundary ditch for the churchyard, dug before the cutting of Rasen Road to the south of All Saints Church in the later medieval period. {1}{2}
