An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was carried out on circa 0.23ha of land to assess the archaeological potential of the site. Four trenches of varying sizes were excavated, positioned to avoid buildings, drains and power cables. A small test pit was dug in the base of Trench 3, and a small box trench was excavated at the north end of Trench 4.{1}{2}
