Three trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land at the former Red Lion Hotel, Withern. No archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered, although the remains of three modern pits were noted, from which a small assemblage of late post-medieval and modern finds was recovered. {1}{2}
