Description
A programme of systematic fieldwalking was conducted on land at Hall Gate, Holbeach. The northwestern area was not fieldworked because of the height of the crops there. A concentration of Late Saxon to Medieval pottery and animal bone was encountered in the northeastern area, in sufficient densities to indicate potential settlement. {1}{2}
