Description
A geophysical survey was conducted on land either side of Legbourne Road, Louth, to inform the construction of a proposed residential development. A single circular ditch-like anomaly was encountered to the east of Legbourne Road, and northeast-southwest aligned ridge and furrow was noted to the west of the road, but no other features of archaeological origin were identified. {1}
Subsequent trial trenching in November-December 2017 (see ELI14548) found no evidence for the possible circular anomaly.
