Description

A programme of geophysical survey was conducted on land at Blanchford Road, Louth, to inform the proposed construction of a residential development. Two discrete areas were surveyed. In the northern area, a single linear anomaly of possible archaeological origin was encountered. An anomaly matching a former watercourse depicted on historic mapping was also noted. In the southern area, an area of probable northeast-southwest aligned ridge and furrow was noted, but no other archaeologically significant anomalies were encountered. {1}
