Description

A geophysical survey was conducted on land at South Road, Bourne, to help inform any future development of the site. A number of anomalies of possible archaeological origin were encountered, including a large curvilinear anomaly in the centre of the site and a possible rectilinear enclosure to the southwest. {1} Subsequent trial trenching undertaken in 2010 (see ELI10966) was unable to positively identify any of the potential archaeological features encountered in this survey, with the exception of one east-west aligned linear anomaly which was revealed to be a Medieval furrow.
