Description

A geophysical magnetometry survey was undertaken between March and April 2014 as part of a wider scheme of works (ELI14430-31) involving mineral extraction permissions at a potential quarry site at Denton, on the Welby Estate. A continuation of the features identified to the south in a previous scheme (ELI14431) was observed including a network of probable agricultural ditches, along with enclosures, a large expanse of contiguous trackway and pits. The pits were considered suggestive of resource extraction. {1}
