A geophysical magnetometry survey was undertaken between August and September 2011 as part of a wider scheme of works (ELI14430) involving mineral extraction permissions at a potential quarry site at Denton, on the Welby Estate. Four fields were surveyed with extensive remains identified including probable settlement activity, trackways, and evidence for quarrying and high temperature burning. Ridge and furrow was also recorded throughout the site. {1}
