Description
A programme of archaeological excavation was conducted prior to the replacement of an electrical transformer at Hamerton Lane, Horncastle. The groundworks extended beyond the modern disturbance layer, into a buried 'dark earth' layer, but no archaeological features or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
