Description

Archaeological monitoring was undertaken in October 2012 as a planning condition for the construction of an extension to The Stables Café, 9 Market Place, Horncastle. A single trench was dug revealing three phases of activity; part of the Roman town wall, medieval levelling, and and post-medieval robbing and construction. {1}{2}
