Description

A single trial trench was excavated to inform the proposed construction of a temporary compound on land at Church Close, associated with a new vacuum water pipeline system in Wrangle village. Whilst a few redeposited sherds of late medieval and early post-medieval pottery were noted, these were not retained, and no archaeologically significant features or deposits were encountered. {1}{2}
