Description
An archaeological strip, map, and record was undertaken north of Tothby Lane, Alford in June and July 2021, as part of a planning condition for the construction of residential buildings, and following earlier geophysical survey and trenching schemes. Extensive Roman remains were recorded, likely relating to the periphery or agricultural zone of a nearby settlement.
