A site visit undertaken as part of a desk-based assessment for a residential planning application found Roman and unglazed pottery distributed along the north and western edge of the field. The field edges were walked, but not the centre of the field due to cropping. The distribution was considered likely to relate to known Roman kilns and industrial activity to the northeast of the site. {1}
