Description

A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted on land between 45 and 47a Cowbit Road, Spalding, during groundworks for the construction of a new dwelling. A sequence of alluvial flood deposits was encountered. Sherds of 12th-14th century pottery was recovered from one of these. A pit of 13th-14th century date was cut into this deposit, and sealed by another. {1}{2}
