Two trial trenches were excavated to inform a proposed holiday let development on land at the former Wheelhouse Restaurant Car Park, Lincoln Road, Torksey Lock. The investigation revealed a series of natural and late post-medieval buried soils, and extensive modern made ground deposits, pits and disturbance.
