Description

A fluxgate gradiometer survey was conducted on land at South Farm, Stainton le Vale, prior to proposed agricultural develoment. A possible north-south aligned trackway, ridge and furrow, and a series of east-west aligned possible ditches were identified. {1} Subsequent archaeological monitoring and recording of groundworks (see ELI10925) confirmed the presence of the ditches and the ridge and furrow, though the possible trackway appears to have been a continuation of the ridge and furrow.
