An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a garage extension at 2 Hardwick Estate, Kirton. Only modern topsoil and alluvial silt were exposed. Similar deposits have been recorded on other sites in the town and are associated with medieval and post-medieval flooding. No artefacts were recovered during the investigation. {1} {2}
