Six trial trenches and four test pits were excavated to inform the proposed construction of a new supermarket on land off Lincoln Road, Washingborough. Significant alluvial deposits covering all of the investigated area were noted, along with the remains of a probable palaeochannel, but no archaeological features or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
