A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a number of obstacles along the route of the proposed Midland 2016 Tough Mudder course at Belvoir Castle. The course route straddled the Lincolnshire-Leicestershire county border. Evidence for periodic dredging of the Belvoir Lakes was noted, but no archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered. {1}
