A detailed magnetic gradiometer survey was conducted as part of research undertaken by the Norton Disney History and Archaeology Group, on land to the east of the church at Norton Disney. Several magnetic anomalies were recorded across the site. Linear features on the north side of the site were interpreted as the remains of a field boundary or enclosure with an entrance that would have been associated with the medieval settlement. On the western boundary, magnetic anomalies and surface debris marked the former location of a demolished, early 20th century building. Other anomalies noted across the site were thought to be of natural, geological, or modern origin. {1}
