Description
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was conducted to inform proposed development on land at Borderville Farm, Stamford. The remains of a probable Iron Age or Romano-British settlement and associated field boundaries were identified as a concentration of linear and discrete magnetic anomalies. {1}{2}
Subsequent trial trenching on the site confirmed the enclosure and ditch features on the site. A series of discrete magnetic anomalies, thought to have represented a probable pit alignment was determined to be modern (see ELI13192).
