Ten trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land to the north of Mill Lane, Legbourne. The majority of the trenches did not extend beyond layers of recently imported landscaping material, although a single, large ditch of probable medieval origin was recorded at the southern edge of the site. {1}{2}
