Description

An earthwork survey was conducted to inform proposed development on land adjacent to South Street, Keelby. Earthworks of probable medieval settlement activity were recorded, particularly in the northern part of the site, where the remains of ditched enclosures, hollows and a distinct mound were identified. Of particular note were two adjacent, rectangular, ditched platforms, that were thought to possibly represent the remains of a former moated site. {1}
